This reminds me of our discussion during home group this week: Will you show up? Often we just think of ourself and what WE get out of showing up. However, we need to look at the bigger picture and realize every choice we make effects those around us. We also talked about the fact that God’s plan will always come to pass even if we chose disobedience. There is joy in knowing that God doesn’t need us, but he choses to involve us in changing the world. What a privilege.

In the beginning of ch 4 God ask Moses to speak to HIS people – yet he is afraid. God ask Moses to pick up a serpent and he doesn’t seem to hesitate. This struck me… How one can be so fearful of what man might say or think of us…

Love the daily readings PK! In Exodus 4 why does God ask Moses to lead his people out of Egypt and then want to kill Moses?

I find it interesting in consideration of your observation ; that people would rather be jealous and despise us when God’s blessing Hand is on our lives; rather than seek and come to know for themselves “The Source from which all real blessing flows “! It is easier to despise and criticize; than it is to humble ourselves and seek God for ourselves ! When we seek God for just “HIMSELF”; we get the blessing of all that His actual Presence brings. Instead of doing what the world does; which is to just pursue the prosperity, while disregarding The Creator of all good things.Every good and perfect gift still flows from “The Father of lights;Almighty God, Who sent His Son so that we might also walk in the blessing ; while following The Son ! What a glorious Gospel we have inherited ;we are so rich in Him !

Thank you for pointing out that is was not because of God, where Joseph began his journey, although it was because of God and Josephs’s obedience to Him were Joseph ended up. God’s plan for us is always good.

He will bless every area of our lives that we give to Him, and allow Him to have the government over ! Obedience to the government of His Word is the Key that unlocks the floodgates of His Blessing ! I like the emphasis you put on obedience !
